Creation Zone Open Studios

Stop by the Iroquois Ridge Creation Zone every other Wednesday* for a fun and interactive Open Studio session!

Newcomer Youth Tutoring

Free one-on-one tutoring for newcomer youth between 11-19 years old (grades 6-12). Volunteer tutors help students complete homework assignments and assist with essay writing. Subject-specific tutoring (e.g. math, science) is also offered.

safeTALK Suicide Alert Education

Most people with thoughts of suicide don’t truly want to die, but are struggling with the pain in their lives. Through safeTALK alertness training, you can learn to recognize important signs and take action by connecting people with life-saving intervention resources. Join us for this half-day alertness training that prepares anyone 15 or older, regardless of prior experience or training, to become a suicide-alert helper.  Lead by safeTalk educator Marcus Logan.

A Day in the Life of Oakville 2018

Our photo project returns a fourth time with fall/winter with Oakville as our subject. Grab your camera or device and take photos of the town on Saturday, December 1, 2018. Open to all ages!

1. Your photo as an attachment with the title of the image as the subject line. Feel free to provide a further description if you like, perhaps of why you took the photo, what area you were in, the meaning of the image.
2. Your name and your email address. We will publish your name unless you indicate that you would prefer not to have it made available publicly. Your email address will never be shared.

Want to include your family or friends in your pics? Please be sure to download and fill out our Photo Consent form and drop off at your local branch to the attention of the Local Collections Librarian.

Check out our new Two-Hour Tinker Loanable Tech Toys:

Visit Iroquois branch of Oakville Public Library to explore new technologies and creation. With your FREE library card you can sign out and play with a Code-A-Pillar, Ozobot, Cubelets, Snap Circuits and much more. The length of sign out is two-hours with most of the tech toys to be used in the Creation Zone at the Branch.
