Youth Online Program

Building a solid foundation of information literacy is essential to excelling in academic pursuits. The librarians at the Oakville Public Library are dedicated to building and supporting literacy in youth, and offer free reference and research skills development presentations.
The Youth Online presentation focuses on introducing youth to the numerous free online resources available through the Oakville Public Library, in addition to the in-person services available at our branches.
The Youth Online program is delivered by Oakville Public Library staff in your classroom, with no cost or set-up time needed. We prepare a multimedia presentation focusing on the best online resources available through the library website. For presentations focusing on a specific topic, such as 'Careers' or 'Business', our librarians can tailor to suit your student needs.
Our presentations focus on students in grades seven through to 12 in Oakville public, private, and Catholic schools.
Take advantage of this free and easy opportunity to further polish your students' research skills without ever leaving the classroom!
To book your Youth Online presentation today, please email our Program Development Department at oplprograms@oakville.ca providing the following details
