Welcome to the brand new website for the Oakville Public Library.
We are thrilled to bring you a new look and offer you a seamless, intuitive, and easier online experience. Along with a new design, the new OPL website offers additional features to ensure you have access to all OPL has to offer.
Our new homepage is where you can find the latest news on OPL branches and services, access to upcoming programs, new book releases and more.
Our improved header allows users to quickly navigate to the most visited pages on our site.
Access our collections using the Books, Music and Movies tab, where we feature the newest titles added to our collection.
Use the Programs and Events page to view and register for upcoming programs, equipped with a filter option allowing you to view programs based on specific dates, age groups and location.
The Online Resources tab allows for quick navigation to our online databases, either search the name or filter by category.
Use the Library Services tab to learn more about the services available at OPL, and how to access them.
Other new menu features - at the top of the every webpage you can easily find library news, location and branch information, and a special Families section highlighting learning and library resources to support your child's early literacy development.
*New* Integrated search: multiple results from across the website
The new search functionality on the website allows you to search the entire site with one query. Use keywords to easily look up titles, programs, library and community services, news or announcements and more, with all the results presented in one place.
At the bottom of each page you will find the "About OPL" section, with a list of quick links for further navigation. You can also use this section to sign up for the weekly OPL enewsletter to stay up-to-date with the latest news about the library's programs, services and announcements.
We hope you enjoy your experience on the new OPL.ca. For help navigating the website you can reach our AskUs team for assistance by phone or email.
