Oakville Public Library and Little Fish Art Studio Announce 6th Annual Art Sale
OPL and the Little Fish Art Studio are pleased to announce the 6th annual Art Sale and Silent Auction. Artwork from students across Oakville is featured in an in-person format at two of OPL’s branches. All proceeds from the sale support expansion of OPL's multilingual collection.
The Little Fish Art Studio, is a local youth-oriented teaching art to children ages 4 to 17, and the organizer of the fundraising event. The art sale and auction will be held over two days, first at Glen Abbey Branch on Saturday, October 15, 2022, from 11 to 4 pm, and at Iroquois Ridge Branch on Sunday, October 16, 2022 from 1 pm to 4 pm. Over 50 pieces of artwork will be featured in the sale and silent auction format. A live art painting will be created during the event by Little Fish Art Studio students.
Past art sales and silent auction events at OPL have raised over $7,000, in support of raising funds to purchase children’s books for OPL’s multilingual collections. Little Fish Art Studio takes over management of this event from previous community partner, Spark Circle.
OPL is pleased to partner with Little Fish Art Studio, a group that continues to strengthen the community and provides the opportunity for talented Oakville secondary students to create their art and to participate in social activities to add color to their post-secondary applications. OPL and Little Fish Art Studio look forward to the support of the Oakville community.
