The Oakville Public Library has rooms that are used to conduct library business such as programs, events or meetings. When not required for library use, select rooms are available for rental to individuals, groups and organizations.
Rooms may be rented for a minimum of one hour between the hours of branch opening to a half hour before branch closing. Opening and closing times vary at each branch. Depending on availability, rooms may be rented after hours upon approval by contacting the branch directly.
We currently have a limited number of rooms available for rent with reduced capacity requirements. Browse through our available rooms for more information on room details, dimensions, and capacities.

All attendees will be required to show valid government-issued identification and proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 (or valid medical exemption), as per Ontario Regulation 364/20.
All attendees will be required to pass OPL’s screening questions as posted in branch, and maintain physical distancing protocols at all times.

Rental Rates and Fees
Meeting Room Rentals – Large:
Hourly - Regular $31.40
Hourly - Non-profit rate $20.40
Meeting Room Rentals – Small to Medium:
Hourly - Regular $20.62
Hourly - Non-profit rate $13.42
After-hours Facilities Coverage:
Per half hour $28.10
Per hour $56.19

Regular and Non-Profit Rates
Corporate, individual and unregistered associations and organizations will be charged the regular rate. Registered not-for-profits or charitable organizations will be charged the discounted rate upon receipt of proof (i.e. current tax returns, constitution or registered charitable number), as outlined in the contract and with approval from Oakville Public Library.
Resources such as tables, chairs and public Wi-Fi are included with the room rental fee. Depending on availability, the library offers additional resources which must be arranged in advance.
Resources that are available to book for an additional fee may include:

To cancel or change an approved room rental a $15 administrative fee will apply. This administrative fee will be charged to the method of payment in which the room rental fee has been paid.
No fees will be refunded if a room rental is cancelled within 48 hours prior to the scheduled booking.
