Why Become a Friend?

As a Friend, you are entitled to early access and first pick at all Friends of the Oakville Public Library (OPL) book sales – a special Members Only night is held prior to the sale’s public opening. You’ll also receive notifications in advance of forthcoming Friends’ events, like the book sales. Most of all, becoming a Friend shows your support of the library as an important resource that enriches lives and builds community.

How to become a Friend of the Library?

• Sign up for an OPL card

• Visit the information desk at any OPL branch

• Pay the $10 Friendly Fee to receive your Friend designation. You will receive a sticker to be placed on your OPL card that indicates your membership
