Every Child Ready to Read

OPL is dedicated to the principles of Every Child Ready to Read, an initiative to help parents and caregivers develop early literacy skills in children from birth to age five, with collections, programs, and resources.

Programs for Babies, Preschoolers and New Parents

Reading Challenges

Discover new stories and authors while introducing early literacy to your little one with 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten (1KBBK). Join online through Beanstack to log reading and earn badges all along the way. 

1KBBK is an literacy program for newborns, babies, toddlers and preschoolers designed to make learning easier when they start Kindergarten.
