How can I borrow seeds from The Seed Library?

  • Visit or contact one of our OPL’s branches during hours of operation.  Do not hesitate to ask our staff about availability. 

When is The Seed Library available?

  • Customers can borrow seeds from The Seed Library between late February and early June, while supplies last.

  • Customers can return their harvested seeds in the fall.

Why should we harvest the seeds and return them?

  • By harvesting and returning your seeds at the end of the growing season, you ensure the continuation of The Seed Library and allow more people in your community to experience the joy of gardening.

What happens if my plants don’t grow?

  • Plants are very temperamental and gardening can often be difficult.

  • Regardless of whether your gardening experience was successful or not, we want to hear about it! If you’d like to share your experience with The Seed Library simply send us an email or connect with us on social media.
