Family Day 2025

Glen Abbey Branch and Iroquois Ridge Branch will be open on Family Day from 10am to 2pm. All other branches will be closed on Family Day.
Family Day in Ontario, introduced in 2008, is celebrated on the third Monday of February each year. The holiday was established to give Ontarians a mid-winter break and provide an opportunity for families to spend quality time together. The decision to create Family Day was driven by the desire to promote family life and well-being, offering people a chance to slow down and reconnect with loved ones during the long winter months.
Oakville Public Library is the perfect place to pick up books, movies, and other materials that can make your family time even more enjoyable. Whether you're looking for a cozy book to read together, a fun family movie, or an educational activity, OPL has something for everyone.
