Oakville Public Library is celebrating Freedom to Read Week, an annual event that encourages Canadians to reflect on and reaffirm their commitment to intellectual freedom.
Whether you're observing Ramadan or simply looking to learn more, we have something for everyone to engage with and enjoy!
Glen Abbey Branch and Iroquois Ridge Branch will be open on Family Day from 10am to 2pm. All other branches will be closed on Family Day.

May 26 to June 1, marks National AccessAbility Week, where we recognize the valuable contributions and leadership of Canadians with disabilities, the work of allies, organizations and communities that are removing barriers, and the ongoing efforts to become a more accessible and disability inclusive community.

OPL and the Little Fish Art Studio are pleased to announce the 6th annual Art Sale and Silent Auction. Artwork from students across Oakville is featured in an in-person format at two of OPL’s branches. All proceeds from the sale support expansion of OPL's multilingual collection.

With support from June and Ian Cockwell and Amarna, the de Vries Family Foundation and the Heritage Trust Fund, funds held at the Oakville Community Foundation, the Oakville Public Library (OPL) has recently digitized close to 500 late 20th century issues of the Oakville Beaver and made them available on the Library’s Newspaper Database.
