International Women's Day 2025
We're celebrating International Women's Day
March 8 marks International Women’s Day (IWD), a global celebration of the achievements of women and girls across all areas of society. The Government of Canada’s theme for 2025, Strength in Every Story, highlights the importance of amplifying the voices of women, especially those facing barriers to success. Creating opportunities for women and girls not only unlocks their potential but also drives innovation, supports the economy, and ensures a sustainable future for all. This IWD, let’s celebrate the resilience, determination, and power of opportunity found in every woman’s story.
