Thank you to our amazing volunteers!

From April 16 to 22, 2023 we celebrate National Volunteer Week. Each year we take this time to recognize and thank our amazing volunteers that help support our community. Our volunteers are an integral part of our organization, and we could not be more grateful for their ongoing support.

OPL is fortunate to have active volunteers, and even more so through the challenges of the pandemic. From our Library Board, to our Friends of the Library, Youth Library Leaders and the community members helping with OPL programs and services, our volunteers continue to amaze us with their empathy, compassion and generosity. With their help, we have been able to continue supporting the Oakville community and connecting people with the resources, programs and services to foster ongoing learning and growth.

Thank you for your continued efforts, and we look forward to what the upcoming year brings for us all.

If you are interested in how you can volunteer at the library, head to our webpage for volunteer opportunities.

It’s never too early to introduce a child to reading. Babytime is a free program perfect for infants aged 0-11 months and their caregivers. Sing, clap, bounce and learn rhymes together!
