Website Enhancements: March 2024

Customer email notifications (such as holds pickup, material returns, etc.) currently show the sender as sirsi@oakv.sirsidynix.net or Oakville_Public_Library sirsi@oakv.sirsidynix.net. This is the result of our recent library software upgrade. Please continue to use oplreference@oakville.ca to contact the library for any questions or concerns.

Update: March 13, 2024

From March 19 to 21, 2024, OPL will be performing an upgrade of our main library system. This upgrade is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the functionality for customers and staff. This upgrade will not impact circulation services. Customers will be able to browse our catalogue online and in-person at our branches and borrow materials. Also customers can continue to use:

  • Self-checkout kiosks

  • OPL Express hold pickup lockers

  • OPL Express Browse & Borrow kiosks

  • Return drop kiosks

  • Public Access Computers and public printers

During this period, the following services and features will not be available:

  • Place holds (you will see the availability of the item but not be able to place or modify holds)

  • Changes to Library account information (no access to My Profile or Settings on opl.ca website during this time)

  • Renew your library card (if your current expiry date falls during this period we will extend it automatically for you)
