Empowering teens to lead, collaborate, and make a difference!

Youth Library Leaders (YLL) is a volunteer leadership program for Oakville teens aged 14 to 18 who are currently enrolled in secondary school. Participants develop leadership, teamwork, and project planning skills while connecting with other motivated youth and earning volunteer hours. 

Program Snapshot: 

Commitment: Monthly 2-hour meetings from October to May
Volunteer Hours: Volunteer hours are awarded for attending meetings and participating in program activities.
Location: Glen Abbey Branch, Central Branch, White Oaks Branch, and Iroquois Ridge Branch
Registration Period: Registration opens on Saturday, September 26th at 10am.

Program Expectations 

Participants are expected to register for the program and attend all scheduled sessions. Each meeting builds on the previous one and contributes to the planning and delivery of the group's Youth Week initiative. Consistent attendance helps ensure participants receive the full learning experience and can contribute meaningfully to the success of the project.
