The OPL Sports Equipment Lending Program is designed to promote physical literacy by encouraging barrier-free access to movement, play, and outdoor exploration.
Whether you're trying a new sport or planning a fun day outdoors, our kits make it easy to get moving!

How It Works:
- Free to borrow: No cost to use any of the kits (fees may apply if kits are damaged or lost).
- Loan period: 7 days
- Kits can be be put on hold and renewable (except lifejackets)
- Items can be returned to any branch (except lifejackets)

Summer Sports Kits, only available during the summer months
Lacrosse Kits
Explore Canada’s national summer sport with our Lacrosse Kits, created in partnership with the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre (TRAC). Learn new skills through the Rock Elite League YouTube tutorials.
Each kit includes twenty junior sticks, ten lacrosse balls, and a TRAC-branded bag for easy transportation.
Lifejackets
Stay safe on the water with our Lifejacket Lending Program, offered in partnership with the Town of Oakville. Lifejackets can be borrowed in infant, child, youth, and adult sizes.
Available only during summer months at the Iroquois Ridge and Glen Abbey branches.
Pickleball Kits
Each kit includes four paddles, four balls (outdoor and indoor) and a bag for easy transportation.
Tennis Kits
Each kit includes two adult rackets, two youth rackets, six tennis balls, and a carrying case.
Walking Poles
Borrow a set of adjustable aluminum trekking poles with straps. Poles come in a carrying bag with accessories and instructions.
Multi-Sport Kits
Each kit consists of a mesh bag with six cone pylons, twelve spot markers, six pinnies, and six different types of balls (a basketball, a volleyball, a playground ball, a soccer ball, an elephant skin ball, and a football).
Winter Sports Kits, only available during the winter months
Snowshoe Kits
Snowshoe Kits are available in assorted sizes and come with a carry bag: sizes 16”, 21”, 25” and 30”
Snow Play Kits
Everything you need for a fun day in the snow! Include one snow brick mold, one snow man mold and two snowball molds.
