The fall Book Sale is back September 25-27 at Central Branch!

Mark your calendars! Friends of Oakville Public Library are excited to announce the fall Book Sale this September 25-27 at Central Branch. The sale will feature a huge selection of gently loved books and more. New books will be added daily so be sure to visit on multiple days. For more information, click the dates below.

Who are Friends of Oakville Public Library?

Featuring Indigenous Artists with Sultans of String

Experience a powerful evening of music and storytelling! Oakville Public Library will be bringing “Walking Through the Fire” to the stage - a musical multimedia experience featuring award-winning First Nations, Métis and Inuit artists from across Turtle Island, alongside Billboard-charting, six-time Canadian Folk Music Award winners Sultans of String.

  • Creativebug provides thousands of arts and crafts classes along with downloadble patterns, recipes and templates - free with your library card!
  • Academic OneFile offers millions of peer-reviewed full-text articles for academic research.
  • Encyclopedia Britannica - Kids provides separate search capabilities for elementary and middle school students and includes interactive exercises and activities.

Customer Notices

Holiday Closure: All branches will be closed on Sunday, August 31 and Monday, September 1 for Labour Day.
Clearview Branch Hours: Effective Monday, September 1, Clearview Branch will transition to school-year hours.
